After breakfast, at the agreed-upon time, we will begin a tour across the Bogotá savanna to the city of Zipaquirá, whose name means "city of our Father" in the Chibcha language. In pre-Columbian times, saline springs in this region were exploited to produce "salt loaves," a form of currency used by the Muisca people for trade. Over time, technology changed, and mines were opened to extract larger quantities of salt. In these ancient underground galleries stands the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, 180 meters below the surface. There, you will find a small chapel built by the miners in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary of Guasá (this word means "mine" in Chibcha). At the end of the tour, we will return to Bogotá. Today, it is a reservoir of vital energy importance to Colombia, famous for its boardwalk with attractive green areas.
